Revenue Compliance & Fraud Safety Event
On Wednesday, 11th September, we hosted a Revenue Compliance & Fraud Safety event sponsored by Breaffy House Hotel & Spa Resort and Fort Wayne Metals Ireland LTD.
The event brought together experts in taxation and fraud prevention, offering crucial insights into the latest trends and strategies to safeguard businesses and individuals.
The session featured key presentations from Revenue Commissioners Tricia Kelly and Deirdre Gardiner, who provided valuable guidance on compliance, returns, and VAT issues.
Bank of Ireland’s Fraud Specialist, Grace Murphy, shared alarming statistics on fraud in 2023, noting a 16.4% increase in losses, nearing €100 million. She highlighted that 95% of these incidents involved card fraud, stressing the importance of vigilance in both personal and business financial activities.
The event underscored the rising challenges of tax compliance and fraud in today’s business environment. With fraud becoming a daily concern, businesses and consumers alike must take proactive steps to protect their financial assets.
