Castlebar Chamber Hosts Landmark Event to Celebrate Growth and Future Vision

Chamber President Anne Conlon delivered a keynote address, celebrating the remarkable strides made in both Castlebar’s economic landscape and the Chamber’s initiatives over the past year. The speech highlighted key achievements, ongoing projects, and the Chamber’s unwavering commitment to driving sustainable growth.
Lisa O’Connor, MD Team Horizon, expertly guided the proceedings as MC, ensuring a dynamic and engaging discussion. The event also featured a presentation by Mellett David, who provided valuable insights into upcoming developments within the Castlebar Municipal District, painting an optimistic picture of the town’s future.
Alan Dillon TD, Minister of State for Small Business, Retail, and the Circular Economy, marked his first official engagement at a Castlebar business event. Minister Dillon spoke on the importance of collaboration between local enterprises and national policy initiatives to bolster economic resilience.
Chamber President Anne Conlon said, “Castlebar Chamber has seen great growth and culture change over the past year. Like all local businesses, we are changing how we do business. I was delighted to see Ava Jackson (Jackson’s Engineering) and Michaël McDermott (McDermott’s) speaking on the membership spotlight which is new at the event. We are continuing our partnership in 2025 to further enhance the Chamber and business community spirit.”
