The ‘My Waste’ website is a very useful website for correct and up to date information to help you manage waste from your home and in your business.
In Ireland 70% of the contents of the commercial general waste bin could be redirected to the recycling or food waste bin. Correct waste segregation can help you save money, ensure you are waste compliant and also help the environment.
There is a section of the website designated for business use which contains really useful resources for businesses of all sizes to help you manage your waste correctly.
Resources include training animations for staff, downloadable posters and also a service where hard copies of good quality posters and bin labels can be ordered for free.
There are also some good testimonials from businesses already using the My Waste Materials including one from Clarkes Filling Station in Ballina.
Also please visit www.pollinators.ie where you will find information on increasing biodiversity and protecting bees and other pollinators through simple actions you can take at your business premises. These include options for businesses that do not have an outdoor area
